Copilot offers various notifications to help you stay on top of your finances. Learn how to enable and customize notifications, understand their limitations, and ensure you’re continuously receiving updates.

Enabling and Disabling Notifications

Copilot sends notifications to all registered devices. If you're not receiving them, please try these troubleshooting steps:

  • In Copilot, tap the gear icon >Settings> Notifications, and make sure notifications are toggled on. From here, you can customize which alerts you'd like to receive.

  • Next, check your device's settings to ensure notifications are enabled for Copilot. Go to Settings> Notifications> Copilot> Allow Notifications

  • Finally, see if any Focus settings (like Do Not Disturb) enabled as this might be blocking notifications. Check out our Accessibility article for additional help.

Sound Notifications

You can disable sound notifications for Copilot in your system settings.

Click the Apple on the top left of your screen, System Settings> Notifications> Copilot> Disable Play sound for notification

Limitations

Copilot doesn’t currently send notifications for every new transaction, but you can review them in the Dashboard tab of the app.

Additionally, credit card due date notifications are not supported at this time.

Notification Thresholds

There are a few things to keep in mind about Copilot's different notifications. For example, the low balance alert notifies you when a checking or savings account drops below $100.

Additionally, Copilot sends a credit utilization alert when an account exceeds 30%, 60%, or 90% utilization.

The big expense alert notifies you if you spend over $500 on a purchase that is not part of a Recurring transaction.

Spending update alerts are sent every Monday, showing how much you spent last week compared to two weeks ago. These updates exclude transactions that are marked as excluded, as well as negative amounts like refunds or income.

Optimizing Notifications Updates

You'll also want to turn on Background App Refresh for Copilot in your device's settings.

In the iOS app: Settings > General > Background App Refresh > Enable Copilot

If you have Copilot widgets set up, you can improve their refresh rate by avoiding force-closing the app after use and keeping it active in the App Switcher view. Learn more about improving widget performance here.
