Copilot Money works with multiple data aggregators and sources to do our best to allow you to see all your data in one place. In addition to connecting accounts for automatic updates, you can create manual accounts and manual holding accounts.
Creating New Connections
iOS
In the Accounts tab, tap add > across from the appropriate account type section. You can also head to Settings > Connections > Manage your connection > Add a new connection.
Mac & iPad
In the Accounts tab, click the + button in the header > select your account type > Link an institution.
If you don't see all of your financial institutions supported in the Plaid search or are unable to connect to the Plaid option, you can search our additional data aggregators for more connection options.
Follow the steps above to reach the Plaid search page on iOS, Mac, or iPad
Tap/click Not on Plaid? Try other ways to connect
Search for your institution (we recommend searching by the institution's name, or the URL you use to login to the account on a web browser)
If you're unable to find your institution in this search, or run into issues connecting to all available integrations for your financial institution, please contact the Support team via the in-app chat.
Web
In the Accounts tab, click the + button in the header > select your account type. Integration options from all data aggregators will appear together when you search.
Adding a New Account to an Existing Connection
If you open a new account with an institution you already bank with, you might need to grant permission to share the new account data with Copilot Money. The steps for granting permission varies by device.
When going through the permission flow on any device, you may be given the option to select or de-select accounts to share. Please leave all boxes checked for accounts already linked in Copilot Money so we can continue receiving updates.
iOS, Mac & iPad
Under the Account's tab Net Worth chart is a section titled Connections Needing Attention. If a connection has new accounts available to add, you'll see the Institution's name and "Found new accounts" below. You can tap/click the Reverify button to the right to re-enter your credentials and give sharing permission for additional accounts.
If you choose to tap the X option instead, the notification will be cleared and visible under manage > (in the iOS app) or view connections > (in the Mac & iPad apps). You can also manage connections under Connections in the Settings section.
Next, tap on the institution from your list of connections that has a new account to add. This connection may already be surfaced at the top of the list as needing attention.
Web
Under Settings > Connections, any institutions that need attention will appear at the top. Click Sign in to complete the permissions flow.
Connecting Another Set of Credentials with the Same Institution
If you are sharing your account with a partner, or simply have more than one set of credentials for the same institution, you will need to create one connection per set of credentials for that institution.
We share the following informational pop-up with you when you attempt to connect to an institution you already have a connection with to help prevent users from attempting to troubleshoot by re-adding an account and accidentally creating duplicate accounts.

If you are creating a new connection for a different set of credentials, you can simply tap/click Add a new connection to continue.
