Why am I seeing an email address I don't recognize associated with my Copilot account?

When you use Sign in with Apple, you have the option to "hide your email." This will prompt your Apple ID to generate an obfuscated email address to be used for your Copilot account. The domain for the obfuscated email address will be @privaterelay.com.

You will see this obfuscated email listed in your Copilot settings under the Account section, and this obfuscated email address is associated with the email address for your Apple ID. You can also find this obfuscated email in your Apple ID settings by going to the Settings app > Tapping your name on the top > Sign in with Apple > Copilot.

Why can't I sign in to my Copilot account on other devices using Sign in with Email?

When you use Sign in with Email, an email with the magic link is sent to the email address associated with your Copilot account. Tapping on the magic link will complete the sign-in process for the Copilot account on that specific device.

That being said, you need to open the magic link on the device that you're trying to access the Copilot account from in order to complete the sign-in process.

If the magic link is opened on a device that already has the Copilot account logged in, it will launch the app on that device, but it will not complete the sign-in process on the other device.
