As part of Capital One's recent acquisition of Discover, Discover accounts are being migrated to Capital One. This means that accounts previously surfaced through a connection with Discover will need to be re-added via our Capital One integration in order to continue receiving updates.
Capital One and Discover Customers
If you already have an account with Capital One, then your Discover accounts will be moved to your existing Capital One login credentials.
After Capital One has notified you that your account has been migrated, please navigate to Settings > Manage your connections > Capital One > and select Add an existing account to surface this account through your existing Capital One connection.
Discover Only Customers
If you do not already have a Capital One account, you'll be contacted by Capital One and instructed to create new login credentials. After this is complete, you can create a connection through our direct Capital One integration to surface this account in Copilot.
You can create a new connection through this integration by navigating to the Accounts tab, tapping / clicking the + button and selecting Credit Cards, Checking and Savings > Link an institution > Capital One.
Preserving Historic Data
Any duplicate accounts will be automatically merged within two business days to preserve your historic data and resolve any duplicates in Copilot. Please do not delete any duplicate accounts or transactions while waiting for this merge to be completed as this can cause loss of
Capital One Integration
Connections to Capital One are made through a direct integration with the institution, so these connections behave a bit differently than accounts connected through our data aggregators. You can learn about some of these specifics in our Capital One article.
Please note: Capital One is migrating accounts in waves over the course of a year. Until you receive communication from Capital One directly, you do not need to take any action in Copilot.
