Copilot's new Mint Transaction Import feature allows new and existing users to import their historic Mint transactions. We're excited to offer this feature on both iOS and Mac.
As a new user, you can import Mint transactions during your onboarding. As an existing user, you can import Mint transactions in Settings > Import Mint Data.
What you can expect:
You'll be able to see your transactions from Mint in Copilot
The exported file from Mint doesn't include balances but you'll be able to see your historical balances for the spending accounts you import from Mint. We use your transactions to calculate these balances.
You'll get to keep your custom Mint spending categories.
You'll also see your transaction tags as transaction notes in Copilot.
What we don't get from Mint:
Your historical net worth and balances for loan or investment accounts (or any accounts that aren't depository accounts or credit cards.)
The budgets you had on Mint.
A few best practices and tips:
Exports from Mint contain batches of 10k transactions per file, so you may need to import several files. If you have access to the Copilot Mac app, you can import multiple files at the same time.
If you complete all the steps to import the data and you notice that when you’re inside the app you’re missing some historical data, try clearing the app’s cache through the settings menu. This makes the app re-sync all of the imported data.
You can always delete all imported Mint data via the Settings menu.
