Deleting your Copilot account and canceling your Copilot subscription are two separate actions. Please make sure to cancel your subscription first so you’re not charged again.
Canceling Your Subscription
There are three ways you can subscribe to Copilot. Please make sure to cancel your subscription on the same device that you initially subscribed on.
If you subscribed via Apple Subscriptions
If you have more than one Apple ID or are logged into Copilot on more than one device, the device you cancel on needs to be associated with the same Apple ID as your Copilot subscription.
On iPhone and iPad
You can access your Apple Subscription through the Copilot app by heading to Settings > Subscription > Manage your subscription > Manage in the App Store. This will take you to the App Store to complete your cancellation.
Or, you can cancel your subscription directly through Apple by heading to your device's Settings > Apple ID (where your name is written at the top) > Subscriptions > Copilot > Cancel Subscription > Confirm.
On Desktop
Please head to Copilot Settings > Subscription > Manage your subscription > Manage in the App Store.
If you subscribed via Stripe on the macOS app
Please navigate to Copilot Settings > Subscription > Manage your subscription.
If you deleted your account before canceling your subscription, please make sure to turn off subscription auto-renewal. You can do this one of two ways, depending on how you initially subscribed:
If you subscribed via Apple Subscriptions, head to your iPhone or iPad’s Settings > Apple ID (where your name is written at the top) > Subscriptions > Copilot > Cancel Subscription > Confirm.
If you subscribed via Stripe on the macOS app, we will have automatically canceled your Copilot subscription since we have control over this subscription directly through our systems.
If you're canceling until an issue you've reported to our team is resolved, please leave Copilot downloaded on your device so we can message you in-app when it's fixed.
Disabling Venmo Forwarding
If you were using Copilot’s Venmo integration, make sure to disable Venmo email forwarding directly from your email account.
Deleting your Copilot Account
When you delete your Copilot account, your bank accounts will be disconnected, and all your budgets and data will be deleted. This cannot be undone. You’ll be starting from scratch if you decide to re-subscribe to Copilot in the future.
After cancelling your subscription, please head to Copilot Settings > Account > Delete your Copilot account.
Next, type “delete account” to confirm, then tap the “Yes, delete everything” button.
If you are still in Copilot Onboarding, you can still delete the account your started. Please swipe right until you get to the Claim your free trial page. Scroll to the bottom, then select "Manage your account."
Next, select "Delete account."
If you deleted the Copilot app before deleting your account, you can request an account deletion by emailing support@copilot.money. To help us find your account, please include the email address you used to sign up with Copilot.
If you used “Sign in with Apple” and hid your email, you can discover your obfuscated email address by heading to your iPhone or iPad’s Settings > Apple ID (where your name is written at the top) > Sign in with Apple > Copilot > Hide My Email.
What Happens To Your Data?
When you delete your account, we do not keep any of your linked financial data or Copilot account data (email address, budgets, etc.), except in the limited circumstances where required by law, to resolve disputes, protect Copilot and our users, and enforce our agreements. Where Copilot has no such obligations, the data will be completely removed from all our internal systems, including backups, within 60 days.
